Welcome to Jamaikedia
This Wiki is part of the Kingston Metropolitan Area Portal, a project that intends to create a virtual community with the aim of improving the life of the people from the Kingston Metropolitan Region of Jamaica and all the Jamaicans in general. The main idea behind it is that if people from different communities get in touch they should solve they difference without using violence. Since Jamaica is a quite dangerous country the act of different communities getting in touch is quite difficult, so other environments, like the Internet can be used.
Everybody is welcome to create, edit and participate creating articles related to Jamaica in any way. The Jamaikedia should be used as an encyclopaedia that follows two purposes:
- Be a reference guide to all the people interested or living in Jamaica
- Be a way of raising the issues that worry the citizens of Jamaica
- Be an opportunity to explain and share personal views, knowledge and expieriences concerning Jamaica
